Booking Policies

1331255 Alberta Ltd. the Owner (Canmore Condo Rental) attempts to properly maintain the vacation rental. The vacationer agrees to immediately notify the owner of any maintenance problem, so that the situation can be remedied as soon as possible. Owner is not responsible for any inconveniences that may occur for which he has no control. This includes, but is not limited to: power outages, adverse weather conditions, mandatory evacuation, construction, mechanical failure such as pool, hot tubs, television, etc. No refunds will be given for occurrences beyond the owner’s control. Owner shall not be held liable for any injuries that may occur to Vacationers or their guests as a result of the acts of said Vacationers and guests. Owner is not responsible for any theft or damage to vacationer’s belongings during their stay at the vacation rental.

Arrival and Departure Information
Detailed arrival information for your rental property will be e-mailed to you at the time of reservation. This will include full details for your arrival, including property address, driving directions and check-in instructions…

 

Check-in & Check-out Times
Check-in Time: 4:00 PM or later
Check-out Time: 11:00 AM
If you decided to extend your stay, please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate your request based on availability. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds if you choose to check-out earlier than your departure date.

 

Payment
A reservation deposit of 50% of your total rental amount is required. Full payment (or balance after your reservation deposit) is required 21 days prior to your arrival. If you are making your reservation within 21 days of your arrival date, the full amount is due at the time of booking. All payments are taken in Canadian $ (CDN).

 

We accept payment via PayPal which allows you to use Visa, Mastercard or American Express or from your bank account for payment. Applicable sales tax and fees are charged on payments, these are detailed to you buy way of invoice sent to you once you have booked your stay on the VRBO website. Your booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of deposit.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand if you need to cancel. Please e-mail us at info@canmorecondorental.ca confirming your need to cancel. Our standard cancellation and refund terms are detailed below.

 

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival:
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less a 10% fee of the total booking value to cover administration and credit card fees.

 

Cancellation made 7 to 30 days before arrival:
For cancellations made up to seven days before arrival, we offer a full refund, less a 25% cancellation fee.

 

IMPORTANT: Christmas & New Year bookings
Christmas & New Year bookings require a minimum 45-day notice of cancellation. No refund will be provided where a booking for arrival 20th Dec to 31st Dec is cancelled within 45 days of arrival. We highly recommend you have your own travel cancellation insurance.

 

‘No Show’ Policy
If the proper cancellation policies are not followed and a guest does not show up for his/her reservation, then no refund is processed.

 

Damage Deposit
For Canmore Condo rentals you’ll be asked to provide a credit card for authorization for a damage deposit. We will authorize the card details on file for a damage deposit of $500 approximately 21 days before your arrival date. All damage deposits will be released (the authorization will not be submitted as a debit) once our cleaning service has verified that there is no damage and no excessive cleaning needed.

 

The renter of the accommodation agrees to forfeit all or part of the damage deposit if any of the following occur:

 

  • Pets are or have been in the condo.
  • The guest smokes in the condo or on the balcony or deck of the property.
  • There are complaints from the property management regarding conduct while in the condo. Loud noise or music should not continue past 11pm.
  • There is an excessive amount of cleaning to be done following the visit. Other than laundry and obvious cleaning, the condo, contents of cupboards, furniture and other articles belonging to the condo, should be left as they were found upon arrival. Please ensure that the kitchen is tidy and all utensils, plates, etc are put in the dish washer and it is turned on the wash cycle.
  • If there is any damage to walls, furniture, fixtures, appliances, towels or sheets, the guest will receive a bill and the amount will be deducted from the damage deposit.
    The renter understands and agrees that if rules 1-4 are broken, the renter and their group will be required to leave immediately, forfeiting allotted time and rent paid. There will also be a $500 charge. In addition, the total replacement cost of any damaged or broken items that exceeds the damage deposit value will be charged to the renter’s credit card.

 

Pet Policy
The Canmore Condo Rental property does not permit pets.

 

Maximum Condo Capacity
The maximum number of occupants is 8. Strict fire code regulations prevent our properties from being over-populated. If you misrepresent the number of people in your group, you will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given. No house parties are permitted.

 

Condo Supplies
Each property is provided with a set of bed linens, towels, wash clothes and initial supplies of bath soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent. There are grocery stores close to the resorts if further supplies are needed. All our properties have washers and dryers for doing laundry.

 

Condo Cleaning
For guests staying for 7 days or more there is a mid week refresh clean done in the condo.

 

Hot Tub Policy
Our hot tubs are professionally cleaned and chemically treated after each guest. By using the hot tub, and by renting the property, you agree to indemnify 1331255 Alberta Ltd. (Canmore Condo Rental) of any responsibility related to the hot tub or its use. Women who are pregnant and people with high blood pressure or skin sensitivities should not use a hot tub. Hot tubs can cause your blood pressure to rise if you have been consuming alcohol.

 

Damages to Hot Tubs
Hot tubs and their covers will be inspected after each rental. Please keep soaps, bubble baths, bath oils, alcohol and food away from the hot tubs. If these items are used in the hot tubs, an additional cleaning fee could be assessed. Hot tub covers are easily damaged. We ask that you inspect your hot tub for any damage upon your arrival and advise us of any problems. Covers should be kept on the hot tubs whenever the tub is not in use. When removing the cover, please place it in a safe location. If damages to are discovered after your visit, you will held financially responsible.

 

Departure Requests
In order for us to prepare the property for the next guest, we kindly ask that you please adhere to the following when you depart:
Wash all dishes or place them in the dishwasher and turn it on to the “cleaning cycle”;
Turn off all lights, small appliances and under floor heating;
Please don’t leave the heat on higher than 22 degrees in the winter months;
In the summer, turn off the electric base board heating; and
Lock all doors upon your departure.

 

Illegal Drugs & Firearms
The use of illegal drugs or possession of illegal firearms is prohibited in our rental condo. If you are found to have either in your possession, you will be asked to leave (without a refund) and you could face local prosecution.

 

Lost Items
Any personal items left behind, lost or stolen during a stay are the responsibility of the guest. We will do our best to find the item. If found we will be happy to ship it to you, should you request this. The shipping cost would be charged to your credit card. We keep items that are left behind for 30 days. Although theft is rare, please ensure your vacation home is locked at all times.

 

Indemnity Clause
The registered guest agrees to indemnify the condo rental owner 1331255 Alberta Ltd. and Canmore Condo Rental of any damages to the premises that result from the renter’s occupancy (including furnishings and household items) and/or damages found upon departure. The registered guest will be charged for any damages his/her group causes to the property. Neither the owner 1331255 Alberta Ltd., nor Canmore Condo Rental will be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money or valuables. The registered guest assumes full responsibility for any damages that his/her group causes or for any items found to be missing after his/her group’s visit, including linens and towels. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests of the registered renter are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.

 

Mechanical Failures
While we strive to ensure the equipment in all of our properties is in good working condition, sometimes things do break. We do our best to correct problems in a timely manner. No refunds or rate adjustments are made for mechanical failures. This includes hot tubs, fireplaces, appliances, as well as Internet, TV or cable outages. We also reserve the right to make any necessary property moves due to mechanical failures.
